Bennie Huddleston

Bennie Huddleston

Bennie Bruce Huddleston was born on October 1, 1948 in Houston, TX to Byrum and Juana Huddleston. On August 14, 1982 he married Irma Gloria Flores. They raised one son, Brandon and one daughter, Esther. Ben was a family man, first and foremost. But he was also a surfer and adventurer at heart. He spent his youth chasing his dreams of surfing the west coast breaks, and settled down and raised his family when his children were born. His wife, his children, his grandchildren and his parents were his world. He was a baseball coach, a boy scout leader and a mentor to so many. He set an incredibly high standard, and lived up to it. He inspired everyone around him to do the same. He was always there to support his family and friends, with anything they needed. He passed on his wisdom and values, and will be remembered by all of us as one of the strongest people we have ever known. He is greatly missed, but his legend lives on through his family. Ben was preceded in death by his father, Byrum. He is survived by his mother, Juana, his wife Gloria, son Brandon, daughter Esther and son-in-law Chance Guidry, his four grandchildren, Madyson, Cash, Memphis and Sadie, his brother Don and several cousins, nieces and nephews.   As we remember and honor Ben, we know that he is in the arms of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
