LaQuarius Demarcus Simmons

Laquarius Demarcus Simmons, affectionately called “Que” by friends, was born August 24, 1976, in Orange, TX, to Winfred Dupree and Vickie Simmons. He accepted Christ at an early age while attending Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Orange.

Laquarius  attended West Orange Stark High School where he played basketball, and he graduated from Madison High School in Houston in 1995. After graduating from high school Laquarius furthered his education with a degree in computer technology. He was currently employed at Linbeck, and owned his own company, LS Computer Services. He loved what he did, and he has the drills to prove it.

Laquarius  was known for his unwavering commitment to his loved ones. He demonstrated the essence of fatherhood through his nurturing presence, guidance, and support. He was a pillar of strength and stability for all children, ensuring that his family always felt cherished and cared for.

Laquarius  was a hardworking individual who loved cooking for the family and loved expressing where he grew up and came from. His dedication to his work and his family’s well-being was unmatched, earning him the admiration and respect of all who knew him and becoming the president of the Simmons family reunion.

Laquarius transitioned from labour to rest on April 04, 2024.  He was a devoted father, son, brother, uncle, friend, coworker, who left us too soon. Laquarius poured boundless love and dedication into his family, leaving an unforgettable mark on our hearts and lives.

Laquarius will be remembered for his warmth, kindness, and that infectious smile. He had a way of lighting up the room with his presence, bringing joy and comfort to those around him.

Laquarius leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Vickie Simmons: his fathers; Winfred Dupree and David Rouchon: wife, Paula-Simmons-Nunley: his children; Jron Connor, Kyla Nunley, Layla Simmons, Tayla Simmons, and Laquarius Simmons Jr.: his siblings; David Rouchon Jr., Davion Rouchon, Brian Dennis, Destiny Reed, Maia Dupree, Antoinette Henry, and Rodney Henry: his uncle; Eugene Dixon: his special friend; Myesha Prater: his grandchildren; Kali Graves and Jamari Bolden: a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends, along with his loving pets; Drakko and Domino.
